For Eugene Cassidy, teaching is a calling. He responds to the individual needs of each student with warmth, encouragement, and respect so they can surpass their own expectations. He focuses on honing analytical and writing skills, helping his students think synthetically and write persuasively. His class is full of lively discussions where students actively participate.  For Gene, teaching can change lives. “This is why I am called to teach in a high school, where the intimate connections with my students that I need to have a real impact can be built,” he said.
