Composer Colloquy - Kingswood Oxford

Composer Colloquy

Experience a Musician's Life

Each year, the Composer Colloquy Visiting Artist Series brings an internationally recognized composer to Kingswood Oxford to meet and work with choral students. All Kingswood Oxford choral groups study and perform the composer’s work, including one commissioned exclusively for the Composer Colloquy. Since the Series’ inception in 2005, our choirs have performed more than 60 commissioned pieces in various genres, including contemporary classical, world music, spirituals, jazz, and a capella. Both Middle and Upper School students gain a valuable glimpse into the life of a professional working artist.

Composer Shawn Okpebholo works with Upper School singers.
